Hidden Single‐Qubit Topological Phase Transition without Gap Closing in Anisotropic Light‐Matter Interactions

چکیده
Conventionally the occurrence of topological phase transitions (TPTs) requires gap closing, whereas there are also unconventional cases without need closing. Although traditionally TPTs lie in many-body systems condensed matter, both may find analogs few-body systems. Indeed, ground-state node number provides a classification for single-qubit While no-node theorem spinless is shown to restrict fundamental quantum Rabi model light-matter interactions, it demonstrated that limitation can be broken not only small counter-rotating term (CRT) but large-CRT regime, which striates rich diagram with different TPTs. these mostly accompanied closing and parity reversal, hidden node-phase transition revealed has neither nor change, turns out an analog TPT matter. A hysteresis sign unveiled via from amplitude squeezing gapped phase. The imprints Wigner function addressed. clarified mechanisms provide some special insights subtle role CRT.

Topological Phase Transition without Gap Closing
Topological phase transition is accompanied with a change of topological numbers. According to the bulk-edge correspondence, the gap closing and the breakdown of the adiabaticity are necessary at the phase transition point to make the topological number ill-defined. However, the gap closing is not always needed. In this paper, we show that two topological distinct phases can be continuously con...

This Article contains typographical errors in the Results and Discussion sections, where ‘‘A’’ should read ‘‘AI’’. A band gap for electronic states in crystals governs various properties of solids, such as transport, optical, and magnetic properties. Its estimation and control have been an important issue in solid-state physics. The band gap can be controlled externally by various parameters, such as pressure, atomic compositions, and external field. Sometimes, the gap even collapses by tuning some paramete...
متن کاملClosing the Technology Gap? Closing the Technology Gap?
This paper focuses on the dimensions shaping the dynamics of technology. We present a model where the knowledge stock of a country grows over time as a function of three main factors: its innovation intensity, its technological infrastructures and its human capital. The latter two variables contribute to determine the absorptive capacity of a country as well as its innovative ability. Based on ...
متن کاملClosing the Generation Gap
I describe recent examples of phase transitions in four-dimensional M theory vacua in which the net generation number changes. There are naive obstructions to transitions lifting chiral matter, but loopholes exist which enable us to avoid them. I first review how chirality arises in the heterotic limit of M theory, previously known forms of topology change in string theory, and chirality-changi...
